Dr. Minnie Lowe founded Faith Tabernacle Christian School in 1982, which later became Dr. M. L. Mitchell's Community School, now known as Dr. Minnie Lowe's Christian School.
Dr. Minnie Lowe educated the students that came to her school regardless of their financial hardships. She's also educated those who were told they would never graduate, and they all graduated with high honors.
Some of the graduates were elderly. She educated them, and they graduated, and they were each very proud of themselves for doing so. Because of Dr. Minnie Lowe, thousands of people were educated and graduated, even the students that were told they'd never make it have all graduated against all odds. Dr. Minnie Lowe's Christian School focuses on general, and Christian education.
Dr. Minnie Lowe, AKA Dr. Minnie Lowe - Joyner, received countless awards, from former Governor, Bob Graham, former president Jimmy Carter, commissioners of Broward County, the African American Achiever's Award, to name a few. She passed away in October 2015, but her legacy continues.
