As a little girl A. Michelle Lowe-Quinn went  canvassing with her grandmother, Versie Mae Taylor, selling beauty products, skin care products, and wigs. Her grandmother built an empire by selling beauty products from the trunk of her car. 

A. Michelle Lowe-Quinn's grandmother was the first to see the businesswoman in her very early on in her life.  Whenever she went with her grandmother to sell products, and to collect credit payments, her grandmother said sales were extremely high, and that she always collected all of the credit payments due by 100%.

Her grandmother said, " I'm always going to take her with me canvassing, because she always gets my money. "

 A. Michelle Lowe-Quinn herself has always been  interested in beauty products. She believes that you've got to look good no matter what. Her grandmother was her inspiration to sell beauty products and wigs.
