Elohim Christian University, founded by Dr. Minnie Lowe. At the early age of five, she began teaching, and tutoring the children in the community. She was educated in the Broward County School System. After graduating, she continued her education at Aldelfi University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and began working for the Broward County School System. She continued her education, earning four Doctoral degrees, out of the four, she earned a Doctoral in Education, and a Doctoral in Theology .
Dr. Minnie Lowe and her husband, Rev. A. C. Lowe founded Faith Tabernacle Christian Church in 1968, which later became Shekinah Beracah El Beth, Shekinah Ministries in short. God used them in awesome ways, they were a powerful couple in the Lord. Miracles upon miracles were performed by God through them.
In 1987 after the premature death of her husband, Rev. Arthur C. Lowe, she became pastor. She continued to teach, and preach the word of God, and the miracles continued. She founded ECU in 2003. Each graduate became successful in the ministry, and have also become leaders. In 2015 Dr. Minnie L. Lowe passed away, but she lives on within each person she has taught, each person she has ministered to, each person that was healed by God through her. Her legacy continues through ECU.
One of the biggest decisions students will make when they begin planning for college is whether to attend an affordable, public institution, or whether to attend a private university that offers a more unique set of courses, majors, and morals. Today’s Christian degree programs are booming, with numerous opportunities for students who value not only the strength of a college’s academic program, but the basis for its moral code and the fundamentals of the way it combines learning with their faith.
At ECU, we offer many of the same programs that public universities offer their students. Several unique options are available for those students with a strong foundation in their Christian faith.
